River is now at 1800 cfs do to the run off from the melting snow we had. The high water has triggered a fresh run of steelhead. Most fish are from altmar to route 2A. We are doing well plug fishing from the drift boats and fish are being taken from shore with egg sacs fished under floats and fly fishing with egg pattern flies. The fish are big this fall, 10 to 12 pounders are not uncommon. Be safe with the high water, cleats and wader belt are a must. Good luck to all.
